October to March is the best time — cool, comfortable weather that is ideal for sightseeing across all three cities. This is peak season, so plan and book early.
October to March — the sweet spot
Pleasant days and cool evenings make monument-hopping easy. Note that December and January can bring early-morning fog around Delhi that occasionally affects flights and drives, so we keep the schedule flexible.
April to June — hot season
North India gets very hot in summer, often above 40°C. It is quieter and cheaper, but plan for early starts and midday breaks if you travel then.
July to September — monsoon
The monsoon brings humidity and showers, but also greener surroundings and thinner crowds. Sightseeing is still very possible with a flexible plan.
Festivals worth timing
If dates are flexible, consider Diwali (autumn), Holi (spring), or the Jaipur Literature Festival in January — vibrant, but busy, so book well ahead.
