Tea hills, one unforgettable houseboat night, and a heritage evening in Kochi — the tightest Kerala plan that doesn't feel rushed.
Five days is the most popular Kerala trip length, and there's a reason: it fits the two experiences everyone comes for — Munnar's tea mountains and an overnight houseboat through the Alleppey backwaters — with no wasted day and no exhausting pace.
The shape below is the route we plan most often. Distances in Kerala are short on the map but slow on hill roads, so the plan keeps one base for two nights and never moves hotels two days in a row.
Every package on this page follows this rhythm and can be customized — swap Alleppey for Kumarakom, upgrade the houseboat, or trade the final Kochi evening for an Athirappilly waterfall detour.
A proven 4N/5D rhythm — customize any day.
Airport or station pickup, a scenic climb past waterfalls and spice country, evening at leisure in the tea hills. Overnight Munnar.
Tea Museum and estate walks, Eravikulam National Park (season permitting), Mattupetty Dam and Echo Point viewpoints. Overnight Munnar.
Descend from the hills to backwater country and board a private houseboat by lunch. Cruise past paddy fields and village life; dinner and overnight on board.
Houseboat breakfast and morning cruise, then a short drive to Kochi. Fort Kochi heritage walk, Chinese fishing nets at sunset, optional Kathakali show. Overnight Kochi.
Breakfast, last-minute spice or handloom shopping, and airport drop timed to your flight.
All packages are customizable — dates, hotels, and route stops can be adjusted to your plan.

General Yes, for the classic highlights: five days covers Munnar's tea country, an overnight Alleppey houseboat, and a Kochi heritage evening at a comfortable pace. Thekkady or a beach stay needs a sixth or seventh day.
A private cab with driver for all five days, hotel nights with breakfast, one houseboat night with all meals on board, and airport pickup and drop. Entry tickets and lunches outside the houseboat are usually direct-pay.
Very well — it is our most-booked honeymoon shape. Couples usually upgrade to a premium houseboat with candle-light dinner and a Munnar resort with a valley view.
Kochi (COK) for both arrival and departure — the route is a natural loop. If you extend to Kovalam or Varkala, departing from Trivandrum avoids backtracking.
The 6-day version adds Thekkady wildlife between Munnar and Alleppey.
